Elementary, my dear Watson

Dinnertime with the heir who, to express how much he liked pizza, said: "pizza is pizza". Then I replied: " This is a tautology, is like saying A=A, or mummy is mummy".  And he then calmy said "No, mum is a pain in the xxx, when she says these kind of things" . It is not a tautology, but it may have a stringent logic.

  1. L'erede ha un cervellino mica male. Cosa piuttosto rara in questo tempo.

  2. Aristotle using "qua" makes a nice bridge to your post:

"Perfect friendship is the friendship of men who are good, and alike in excellence; for these wish well alike to each other qua good, and they are good in themselves."
